THREE GENERATIONS

Three generations fished from a boat.

Each watching the dance of his bobber afloat.

Happy to be there just sharing the time.

Eagerly awaiting a tug on his line.

The youngest of the three in his childlike vision,

thought that catching a 'big one' was the goal of their mission. The eldest and wisest of the three understood

That it's spending the time that helps little boys turn out good.

Now the man in the middle, from his point of view,

he was the link between the old and the new.

So, there they sat catching finny little creatures,

Each learning more about life from his other two teachers.

This story took place on the River of Life,

Where being a family helps overcome all the strife.

So thank God for grandpas' and dads' who know about fishin And God bless the son who'll carry on the tradition.
